Summers Flooring and Design Reviews

My partner and I purchased our first home together last year and splurged on having all new engineered hardwood from Summer’s Flooring installed throughout the home. Within about 6 months we started to notice the floors were discoloring and showing clear signs of premature deterioration.Upon inspection, Summer’s Flooring said they looked like 10 year old floors. In clear further acknowledgement of the premature deterioration, Summers attempted a deep clean on the floors which made no difference. The manufacturer of the flooring we purchased went out of business a year ago and Summers has refused to replace the flooring. I had the owners of two other local flooring companies assess the condition of the floors and spoke to the GM of the manufacturer - all agreed that the floors should not have aged this quickly and that the floors were clearly defective. The previous GM of the manufacturer also noted that the way in which Summers attempted to ‘repair’ our floors actually locked in the damage further. After spending almost $20k on these defective floors and the complete lack of support and consideration we have received from Summer’s Flooring, I obviously cannot recommend anyone purchase flooring from them.

Summers has been excellent to work with during our build. Competitive pricing, but most importantly, great customer service. Eric went above and beyond to get our flooring during this time when materials can be very difficult to come by. Great to have friendly, reliable people to work with during such a stressful time.

We had wood floors refinished and new carpet. I would not go anywhere else. the service was excellent and the installation and refinishing was top notch. Why take the risk going somewhere else?

Kim, Eric, Heidi and the whole crew over at Summers are top notch people to work with. I had the pleasure of being helped by Kim most days. Ever patient, she shared her years of experience and expertise about flooring choices in general, and then specific product lines to help us get the best product for our lifestyle and desired look... not to mention our budget. I took far too many samples and kept them far too long (don't do what I did 🤪), but they were constantly kind regardless. We chose to DIY our install in the end and they provided a whole kit full of tools to do the job and even threw in a 6-pack of beer and a pizza. I could not be happier with my experience at Summers, the way I was treated, or with the product we ended up with (2 months in at this point). I've been back multiple times for other flooring projects since and would wholeheartedly recommend you give them your business as well! ⚠️ BEWARE ⚠️ - Kim does have a cheeky sense of humor she pulls out every once in a while that'll make you laugh and smile. 😉
